About The Position

The Tax, Compliance & Reporting Accountant is responsible for the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision, tax compliance, business licensing, and other regulatory requirements across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions. This role will maintain supporting tax schedules and reconciliations, manage recurring tax and compliance deadlines, and provide general accounting and financial reporting support during lower-volume tax periods. Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes. Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline. Models the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrates a commitment to the AP Compliance Program, standards and policies. Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures, actively participate in enforcement of all ongoing Cybersecurity efforts to ensure safe and secure IT systems for all employees and clients at Allergy Partners. Remain vigilant and aware of new threats and assist the company by fulfilling an active role in observing, enforcement and reporting of cybersecurity incidents, efforts, programs and fulfill required training on a timely basis as required by frequency and due dates.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of corporate tax, public accounting tax, or related accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing or supporting ASC 740 income tax provisions strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-state income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and business licensing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, tax-related balance sheet accounts, and account reconciliations.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple entities, jurisdictions, and recurring deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision, including current and deferred tax calculations.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for deferred tax assets and liabilities, temporary differences, tax attributes, and related tax accounts.
  • Prepare and record tax provision journal entries and reconcile income tax-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze the effective tax rate and investigate significant period-over-period variances.
  • Prepare and coordinate federal, state, and local income tax filings, estimated payments, extensions, and related workpapers.
  • Manage property tax, sales and use tax, business licenses, and other recurring tax and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tax and compliance calendar to ensure all filing, renewal, and payment deadlines are met.
  • Research and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and other regulatory correspondence.
  • Monitor relevant tax law and regulatory changes and assess potential accounting or compliance impacts.
  • Support month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, audit requests, and other accounting projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax, compliance, reporting, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
