About The Position
The Utah State Tax Commission's Customer Services Division is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill its Tax Compliance Agent position. This person will play an integral role in the Division's mission to answer taxpayer inquiries. You must be current on your state and federal tax filings and pass a FBI level background check. This job may be filled at any of the advertised levels. Day-to-day responsibilities of this position include: Experience negotiating with customers, Prior experience in collections, including taking legal action, Basic understanding of Utah tax laws, Skills in dealing with customers in an adverse environment, Prior experience working with customers over the phone, Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, Be able to do your part in a team environment, Research information to find answers to questions, Data entry skills.
Requirements
- Current on state and federal tax filings
- Pass a FBI level background check
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Very detail oriented
- Experience with GenTax/Collections

- Experience with tax laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
