Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA license required or actively pursuing, with at least one exam passed
2–6+ years of public accounting experience with exposure to both tax and audit
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and auditing standards
Experience preparing returns across multiple entity types (individual, partnership, corporate)
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
Assist with tax planning strategies to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes
Perform audit and assurance procedures for privately held companies, nonprofits, and other client entities
Participate in financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate directly with clients to gather information, address questions, and provide ongoing support
Conduct technical research on tax and accounting matters and apply findings to client engagements
Stay current on tax law changes, GAAP, and auditing standards
Work closely with firm leadership to manage engagement timelines and deliverables
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and high-quality service
Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
