About The Position
Our client is a growth-oriented CPA firm in Plano, TX with a fantastic culture! They're seeking a Tax Associate to support the preparation of business and individual tax returns. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while meeting clients and statutory deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA license or active CPA candidate with 3+ years of federal tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and internal teams
- Fast learner who works efficiently, asks questions proactively, and takes initiative
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and follow-up requirements simultaneously
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CCH ProSystem FX/ Axcess Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Assets preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing business and related individual tax returns
- Communicate with clients to gather required information, respond to questions, and ensure all internal and external deadlines are met
- Interact with peers, clients, and federal/state agencies regarding compliance matters and ongoing projects
- Apply and expand your tax knowledge while developing within the firm to become a key contributor to our processes and long-term success
