Tax Associate - Financial Services
About The Position
Weaver is looking for a Tax Associate to join our Tax Investment Funds practice. The Tax Associate prepares various types of tax returns and provides tax-related services for clients. This position will focus primarily on clients in the investment funds and financial services industries, which will provide this Associate with the opportunity and knowledge to become an expert in tax preparation, planning and strategies for this industry. A Weaver Associate enjoys flexibility, meaningful and diverse client work. They will experience a supportive and innovative work environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate
- 0-2 years of experience in public accounting
- Basic understanding of the tax implications associated with financial products
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Investment partnership tax experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
