CIM E/E Associate As a member of our CIM group, working specifically excise tax and renewable energy credits group (E/E) you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts: your technical and quality expertise and delivering excellent client service:
Requirements
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
Nice To Haves
- Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with tax planning and research, as it relates to the excise tax and renewable energy credits within the following areas: Federal excise tax (fuel, heavy vehicles, air transportation, manufacturers taxes, environmental taxes, etc.) Investment tax credit (ITC) Production tax credit (PTC) Carbon capture and sequestration credit Electric vehicles and refueling property credits Renewable fuel credits
- Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
- Assist with drafting opinion letters and writing other technical memoranda
- Develop an understanding of client's business
- Help drive the success of multiple R&D, or federal credits engagements
- Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications
