About The Position

CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for its Dallas and Fort Worth locations. This internship is anticipated to run from January 2028 through April 2028. Interns prepare tax returns and perform audit and other assurance services while gaining experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems. They support client engagements, expand their industry knowledge through client and peer exposure and formal training, complete research and special projects, and communicate regularly with clients and CLA colleagues. Requirements

Working toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an Accounting or Finance degree is strongly preferred.
Achieving the credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam under state requirements.
General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
Gain experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers, and systems.
Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers and clients and through formal training opportunities.
Complete research and special projects as needed.
Communicate effectively and regularly with clients and CLA family members.
