About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience whose background is primarily focused on tax preparation, compliance, and planning. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of business and individual tax engagements, work directly with experienced partners, and develop long-term client relationships. The firm offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with hybrid work flexibility for candidates who are able to periodically work from the Allentown office.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3–5 years of public accounting experience.
  • Strong professional background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning.
  • Experience should be primarily tax-focused rather than audit or assurance.
  • Hands-on experience preparing business entity tax returns, including corporations, S corporations, and partnerships.
  • Experience preparing complex individual income tax returns.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with periodic time in the Allentown, Pennsylvania office.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and other business entities.
  • Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Assist with year-round tax planning and develop strategies based on individual and business client needs.
  • Research federal and state tax regulations and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation, answer questions, and provide updates throughout engagements.
  • Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations.
  • Ensure tax filings comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate directly with partners on tax planning, advisory, and client consulting engagements.
  • Support special tax projects and other advisory initiatives as needed.
  • Stay current on changes to tax laws, regulations, and industry developments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and consistently deliver high-quality work within established deadlines.
