As a Tax Analyst Sr, within PNCEF’s Tax organization, you will be based in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of property and/or sales tax. Core hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am EST – 4:30 pm EST. The Tax Analyst Sr is responsible for providing operational support for equipment finance property tax and lease administration activities, ensuring the accurate processing of tax-related transactions, customer refunds, and critical mail operations. This role serves as a key liaison between internal business partners, tax authorities, and cash management teams, while maintaining compliance with property tax regulations and company policies. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an on-site presence at the Cincinnati office at least three days per week to oversee essential mail processing, distribution, and delivery functions for equipment finance. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. Candidates should possess experience working with financial systems, transaction processing, and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of equipment finance, property tax administration, lease servicing, and/or related financial operations is preferred. Responsibilities

  • Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations.
  • Research and monitor appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
  • Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.
  • Working with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.
  • Mentoring junior staff on appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.
  • Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, ensuring timely delivery of all Equipment Finance-related correspondence and routing mail to appropriate business units.
  • Processing property tax information by entering and maintaining records within PTMS (Property Tax Management System) and LeaseWave, including manual data entry when automated interfaces cannot be utilized.
  • Exporting and importing data between PTMS and LeaseWave and performing data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Working in Microsoft Excel, utilizing functions such as filters, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and other analytical tools to reconcile data, research discrepancies, and support reporting needs.
  • Managing tax refund processes received from taxing jurisdictions, researching refund eligibility, creating refund transactions within LeaseWave, clearing refund-related general ledger entries, coordinating with internal cash management teams to facilitate customer reimbursements, and ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all refund activity.
  • Supporting compliance with applicable property tax regulations, company policies, and audit requirements while maintaining accurate records and responding to internal and external inquiries.
