As a Tax Analyst Sr within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to read and comprehend processing procedures.
  • Self-Starter
  • Knowledge of tax laws and research sites such as CCH.
  • Sales tax knowledge is helpful.
  • Experience in state tax notice resolution is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehending all the compliance requirements to reconcile, compute and prepare sales and use tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
  • Identify potential process improvements.
  • Preparing EFT and Check requests.
  • Knowledge of state filing sites for on-line filing.
  • Analyze purchase invoices for correct tax.
  • Identify accrued tax inaccuracies.
  • Monitor tax law changes.
  • Assist purchasing with commodity code selection and interpretation of product purchases.
  • Identify potential process improvements.
  • Other projects assigned.
  • Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations.
  • Research and monitor appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
  • Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.
  • Working with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.
  • Mentoring junior staff on appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.
