About The Position

The Tax Analyst will be an integral member of the corporate income tax team and will assist in key areas of the corporate tax function, with an emphasis on federal tax compliance and reporting. This position reports directly to the VP, Tax and will have visibility with Accounting and Finance, and external advisors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
1-3 years of experience
Advanced user of Excel, and OneSource Tax Software (or related system)
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

pursuing CPA and/or MST preferred
banking or Big 4 accounting firm preferred
Financial institution and bank holding company exposure is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of federal, state and local corporate income and franchise tax workpapers and returns
Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740
Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and tax extension calculations
Assist with preparation of tax depreciation schedules
Provide support for federal and state income tax audits, including gathering supporting documentation and responding to information requests
Partner with Accounting and Finance and external advisors on tax reporting matters
Research federal and state tax law changes and their impact on the company
Support tax planning initiatives and special projects
