About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Advisor to join our team. This mid-level role will manage the execution, review, and filing of client tax returns while collaborating directly with our wealth management team to provide holistic tax planning. The role will require extensive judgment as you oversee the tax process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth, accurate, and positive experience for our firm’s clients.

Requirements

Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) status.
2–4 years of experience preparing and filing complex tax returns at an RIA, multi-family office, or public accounting firm.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for building meaningful client relationships and translating complex tax laws into plain English.
Strong analytical skills with deep proficiency in professional tax preparation software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented wealth management environment.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation, review, and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns (including individual, trust, and business returns) along with necessary tax documents (e.g., Forms 1099, W-2s, K-1s) for clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients’ tax inquiries and tax planning, coordinating the gathering and verifying of complex financial data while exercising discretion in handling sensitive client information.
Evaluate and refine tax planning strategies (such as Roth conversions and tax-loss harvesting), using analytical procedures to identify tax-saving opportunities and implement technology or workflow solutions to streamline operations.
Coordinate the billing process for all tax revenue.
Exercise significant judgment to ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations with respect to the preparation, signing, and electronic filing of client tax returns.
