The Tax Advisor & Preparer works directly with Members to understand their financial situation and deliver tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. In addition to tax preparation and planning, this role introduces Members to FBC’s full range of services, including bookkeeping, payroll, legal assistance, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. Support may also include estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management as Member needs arise. The successful candidate will be client-focused, knowledgeable in tax and accounting practices, and motivated to build lasting Member relationships while providing trusted financial guidance. This position is reporting into our FBC Smiths Falls, ON location. You will be expected to report to the Smiths Falls office as required. This is a travel-based role that requires daily in-person visits with FBC members at their place of business. To proceed through the application process, you must be willing to drive daily to both urban and remote locations and possess a valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration, and a reliable vehicle. This role primarily supports FBC Members in Belleville, ON and the surrounding areas. Applicants must be comfortable with frequent travel, including multiple visits per week to Belleville and ongoing travel to neighbouring communities based on member needs.
