About The Position

Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held entities. Manage all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients. Conduct in-depth tax research utilizing Bloomberg Tax (BNA), IRS guidance, and other authoritative resources to support tax positions and planning strategies. Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations related to income, estate, gift, trust, and partnership taxation. Advise clients on the tax implications of investments, business transactions, real estate holdings, and wealth transfer strategies. Prepare tax projections and estimates to assist clients with financial and tax planning initiatives. Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices and assist with examinations and audits. Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, family office personnel, and external stakeholders on tax-related matters. Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impacts to clients and leadership. Maintain detailed workpapers and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and firm standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA required or strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of tax experience, preferably supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private clients, or closely held businesses.
  • Extensive experience preparing and reviewing complex individual, trust, estate, gift, and partnership tax returns.
  • Advanced proficiency with Bloomberg Tax (formerly BNA) for tax research and technical analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax planning and consulting for high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
