Tax Accountant (On-Site)
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a well-established public accounting firm in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys preparing business and individual tax returns, providing tax planning support, and developing lasting client relationships. This role is best suited for someone whose experience is primarily focused on tax rather than audit, and who is looking to continue growing within a collaborative firm that values professional development, technical excellence, and exceptional client service.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on tax
- Significantly more tax experience than audit or assurance
- Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
- Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work on-site in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Nice To Haves
- CPA license preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and LLCs
- Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
- Research tax regulations and assist with tax planning strategies
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Collaborate with partners and senior team members on client engagements
- Assist with special tax projects, consulting engagements, and other advisory services
