About The Position

Aldridge is seeking a dedicated Tax Accountant who wants to join our agile and energetic Finance team. This role will be responsible for a variety of corporate tax reporting, filing, and payment management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of Audit and Tax experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated commitment to honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications

Nice To Haves

CPA or MBA preferred
Construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare all tax filings and analysis such as sales and use tax, personal property tax, income tax, and fuel tax credits; execute timely payment requests as required
Proactively work with fleet and division management to drive tax related process improvement and cost reductions
Develop cost-effective Best Practices for interstate business decisions
Lead the company’s internal compliance efforts with a goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and ultimately improving the bottom line of Aldridge Electric, Inc.
Execute all monthly sales and use tax filings, reporting and payment requests for all states
Support other state and local corporate tax filings as directed
Development of consistent, cost-effective best practices related to business decisions impacted by sales and use taxes
Ensure controls are in place and effective while working to drive process improvement and improve profitability
Special Tax Projects as assigned by Controller & CFO
