About The Position

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to lead complex tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held businesses. This is a highly visible role offering exposure to sophisticated tax matters, wealth transfer strategies, and direct client advisory work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA required or strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of tax experience, preferably serving high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private clients, or closely held businesses.
  • Extensive experience preparing and reviewing individual, trust, estate, gift, and partnership tax returns.
  • Advanced proficiency with Bloomberg Tax (formerly BNA) and tax research methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Experience providing strategic tax planning and consulting services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held entities.
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for private clients and family office relationships.
  • Conduct advanced tax research using Bloomberg Tax (BNA), IRS guidance, and other authoritative resources.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities related to income, estate, gift, trust, and partnership taxation.
  • Advise clients on investment, real estate, business transaction, and wealth transfer tax implications.
  • Prepare tax projections and estimates to support financial and tax planning initiatives.
  • Respond to tax notices and assist with audits and examinations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, family office personnel, and other stakeholders on tax-related matters.
  • Monitor tax law changes and communicate potential impacts and planning opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed workpapers and ensure compliance with firm and regulatory standards.
