About The Position

WCD is seeking a part-time bartender for our tasting room. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft cocktails, excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, providing tours of the facility, understanding the basic process of whiskey distillation, and maintaining a clean and organized bar.

Requirements

Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and spirit pairings.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pouring and handling transactions.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (such as kegs or cases of liquor).

Nice To Haves

Certification in responsible alcohol service (such as TIPS or ServSafe) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about drinks and menu items.
Maintain knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, as well as any seasonal or specialty drinks.
Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately using the Toast POS system.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies.
Check identification of customers to verify legal drinking age.
Maintain knowledge of distillation process and provide tours of the distillery to guests.
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering bar supplies as needed.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
