About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Tasker for the First Shift Core position. In this role, you will play a part in one of the world's most essential industries. The primary duty of this position is to expedite transactions through the warehouse management system. Taskers provide information and resolve issues with customers, carriers, and warehouse associates. The role may support the outbound, inbound or parcel functions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Warehouse Operations Knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Six months warehouse experience
  • 0-1 years experience in data entry and/or dispatch
  • Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate drivers and freight to ensure efficient dock operations and timely movement of shipments.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date system at all times.
  • Ensure accuracy of all shipping and receiving documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and related paperwork.
  • Gather, enter, and maintain all data and records associated with shipping and receiving trailers.
  • Keep all documentation, logs, and records legible, organized, and compliant with operational requirements.
  • Assist customers, client representatives, and carrier drivers at the dispatch window in a polite and service oriented manner.
  • Work closely with customer service teams and operational teams to maintain high service levels.
  • Communicate proactively with carriers and internal teams to prevent delays and ensure smooth logistics flow.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by leadership to support daily logistics operations.
  • Conduct all operations in a manner that promotes safety and immediately report unsafe conditions that cannot be self corrected.
  • Assist in maintaining facility security and ensuring adherence to site safety rules and standards.
  • Follow procedures that support compliance with OSHA, MSDS, and other safety related requirements.
  • Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
  • Understand and utilize system screens to monitor and move workload through the system.
  • Work closely with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts and damages causing inventory issues.
  • Manage the scheduling of inbound carriers and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
  • Generate and utilize system reports and audit sheets to evaluate the shift progress.
  • Communicate directly with the carrier(s) to insure seamless physical and systematic transactions.
  • Oversee exchange of parcel shipments from shipping dock to carrier’s truck.
  • Resolve data transmission failures/errors with customer’s IT and procurement teams.
  • Interface with IT contacts in event of system-related barriers.
  • Insure complete communication for turn of shift.
