About The Position

This role is responsible for reviewing and distributing production and order processing work to meet shipment schedules. The Task Planner will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, monitor workloads, and collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient material flow. This position utilizes a warehouse management system to release tasks and analyzes the status of released work to ensure on-time completion. The role also involves problem-solving, root cause analysis related to resource planning and order status, running reports, and performing daily 6S activities to maintain an organized and safe work area. The position requires flexibility with shifts, including working 2nd shift hours (2pm-10pm or 2:30pm-1am) and potentially other times based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Reviews and distributes production work and order processing work to meet shipment schedules.
Confers with department supervisors and group leaders to determine progress of work.
Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments.
Monitors workload for all areas of the operation.
Collaborates with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials.
Communicates with employees, supervisors, shipping, or planning.
Uses warehouse management system to release tasks to support the daily schedules.
Constantly analyzes the status and priorities of released work to ensure on time completion.
Provides problem solving assistance and root cause analysis to all levels of the organization related to resource planning and order status.
Runs reports to monitor open customer orders to ensure on time completion.
Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets.
Other duties as assigned.
