About The Position

The Task Lead (TL) delivers operational excellence in support of sales and an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests. The role keeps fixtures stocked, maintains store cleanliness, completes assigned tasks, supports omni-channel processes, and performs select manager-related functions in the MIA device, including Inventory Adjustments. The TL supports the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager, focusing on operational performance, people, and process, and must pay close attention to detail and follow established procedures.

The TL helps execute shipment and replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory counts and procedures, resets, planograms, marketing displays, and other operational work. The position also supports Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store, helps train Task Associates, and maintains store standards across the salesfloor and other areas. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays. Work involves continuous mobility and object handling, frequent standing and other physical movements, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

The stated pay range is $16.50–$24.75 per hour. Exact pay depends on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off and health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for operational excellence.
• Demonstrated experience exceeding tasking goals and training new hires.
• Proficiency with basic technology, such as a Point of Sale system and Apple devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early morning shifts, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical demands described, including continuous mobility and handling objects, frequent standing and other movements, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Help meet or exceed store retail goals by ensuring tasks are executed as planned and products are available for purchase.
• Meet task dashboard compliance and execution goals and complete operational processes on time, including shipment, replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory counts, and inventory procedures.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
• Assist with training new Task Associates and cross-training other associates in tasking.
• Engage and influence peers to support productivity and performance.
• Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business.
• Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using company technology and best practices.
• Complete select manager-related functions in the MIA device, including Inventory Adjustments.
• Support omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Keep assigned work areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness in the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Complete other operational tasks as directed.
