About The Position

The Team Lead will oversee daily operational functions of various stations within the plant. This leader is responsible for guiding and motivating team members to achieve production-oriented goals and deliver high-quality results. This role involves problem-solving, providing clear direction, and ensuring effective communication within the team. The Team Lead supports the development of team members through mentoring, training, and feedback, while also monitoring performance and resolving issues that arise. Key responsibilities include delegating tasks, setting priorities, troubleshooting challenges, and fostering collaboration to meet production standards. The team lead must be versatile and ready to step into various roles as needed, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining productivity when a team member is absent.

Requirements

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
The Team Lead must conduct job duties in an ethical and professional manner.
Knowledge of Tarter safety regulations and best practices, including OSHA guidelines, and the ability to ensure a safe working environment for the team.
Understanding of the operation and maintenance of bending machines, presses, and other equipment used in the bender station.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine malfunctions, material defects, or production delays.
Understanding how to assess team performance, provide feedback, and coach team members to improve technical skills and work efficiency.
Ability to adapt to changes in production demands, machine setup requirements, and unexpected challenges while maintaining high productivity levels.
Ability to train new employees, provide ongoing support to the team, and promote continuous improvement in skills and processes.
Ability to work collaboratively with other teams (e.g., maintenance, engineering, and quality control) to ensure smooth production operations.
Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of all products being produced and to catch errors before they become larger issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear instructions are given and to facilitate coordination with other departments (e.g., production, quality control, engineering).
