About The Position

Assertive Professionals is seeking a Targeting Analyst to support a National Security Customer in Ft. Meade, MD. This is an open position within an employee-centric, fast-growing small business. The role involves developing target packages, conducting network analysis, and researching key data sources to support target strategy development and engagement. Analytical products will inform decision-makers for target prioritization to achieve objectives for plans and operations. The position requires a strong understanding of the intelligence cycle, analytical methodologies, and the targeting process. The analyst will also brief clients and support the professional development of junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance (Some positions may require CI Poly.)
  • Experience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, strong research and writing skills, and experience with basic computer applications, search engines, and data processing systems.
  • Experience with a variety of analytical tools and databases to include but not limited to BI2R/I2AR, Palantir, Query Tree, Chrome, Analyst Notebook, open source research, Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT), TIDE, Pulse, QLIX.
  • Able to participate in analytical debate and be receptive to constructive criticism.
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 6 months (if supporting a line of effort that has deployment requirements).
  • Knowledge of the intelligence cycle, F3EAD and other analytical methodologies to support the research, discovery, and analysis of key individuals and networks as well as an understanding of the targeting process, enterprise, and analytical tradecraft.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior - Ten (10) years of experience conducting analysis with at least a portion of the experience within the last 3 years.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an area from a college or University accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

  • Developing target packages and network analysis to identify targets and target systems for joint lethal and / or non-lethal engagements.
  • Researching and analyzing to exploit key data sources such as operational traffic and all source intelligence databases to support target strategy development and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
  • Conducts research within relevant databases, compiles and analyzes necessary data, and synthesizes information to provide an assessment within the scope of the assigned mission, within a government approved format.
  • Able to brief mission and production related topics to internal and external government clients, military personnel, and contract audiences.
  • Proliferates a detailed understanding of the tradecraft amongst mid and junior-level analysts and directly supports the professional development of all team members.
  • The Senior/Expert Level analyst must be able to provide input into weekly, monthly, and quarterly contract deliverable requirements and serve as a functional, deputy, or team lead as necessary.
