About The Position

The Taping Operator applies or removes tapes to the flex area or vent holes on copper plated panels and ensures that all jobs are processed in accordance with Team leader direction, Traveler information, process engineering, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Ability to read and understand documents such as Travelers, standard operating procedures, instructions and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must have good hand-eye coordination
U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets work instructions on the traveler to verify customer name, lot number and quantity; confirms that prior process was completed, signed and dated on the Traveler
Applies tape to the flex, rigid or rigid flex area on copper plated panels
Uses press-down machine to seal all flex areas
Visually inspects panels after processing for non-conformances
Removes tapes and cleans the flex areas with alcohol
Maintains Production Log
Performs other duties as needed
