About The Position

Graywolf is seeking experienced Tank Welders (Tankie II - FCAW Welder & Tank Fitter) in Naples, TX. Per Diem eligible greater than 60-miles, Schedule is 5-10's with occasional Saturdays. Project length is 9 months. Graywolf is a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor that provides end-to-end solutions from design, fabrication, construction, and facility management with a footprint that is nationwide. Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years of prior FCAW tank welding/fitting experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers.
  • Must be able to successfully pass required Weld Testing FCAW as determined by CWI/Quality Assurance. 2G Horizontal, 3G vertical uphill, and 4G overhead on carbon steel plate without backing. Weld testing will be coordinated with off site facility locations.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
  • PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required. Soft welding hoods are not permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and fits to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural, plate and mechanical materials into all types of assemblies.
  • Efficiently produce quality welds and performs fitter tasks using various positions and metallurgy.
  • Perform or assist with fit‐up and preparation of welds.
  • Perform or assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair.
  • Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
