Responsible for performing welding and grinding functions per job specifications. Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy. Able to weld in all positions – horizontal, vertical, flat, and overhead. Please note this will be used to fill several vacancies for the AOC project, near Conklin, AB. Please note, this is a new tank project. You will not be solely welding all the time. The schedule is 14 days, 7 days off, 10-hour. Please keep in mind, travel to site is usually on a Monday and work will start on the Tuesday. Travel back home will be on a Monday after working half a day. Camp accommodations with paid travel after each shift cycle. Bussing is provided. Must be available to start June 16. Must possess Journeyperson card OR an active apprenticeship card with any provincial governing body; we will need a copy of this. Must be able to successfully pass a weld test and D&A screen (conditions of employment) prior to employment beginning.
