About The Position

The Tank Welder/Fabricator 2 is a mid-level welding position responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. Work is completed with some supervision. The role is based in West Fargo, North Dakota, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as required. Pay is $26.50–$29.70+ per hour, depending on experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization, and welding equipment setup and maintenance.
Advanced knowledge of weld symbols.
Basic oxy-fuel and/or carbon arcing skills.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
Ability to work with others safely and accurately.
Ability to accept responsibility and account for one's actions.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to be truthful and credible in the workplace.
Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
Dependability and trustworthiness.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
Master all aspects of the Level 1 position.
Qualify in the welding disciplines required for the facility.
Work on semi-routine assignments and require minimal help from a supervisor on new tasks.
Show initiative in recognizing areas of opportunity within current standard procedures.
Maintain technical qualifications required for the position.
Maintain prompt and dependable attendance.
Fit and weld subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds.
Accurately measure to specified tolerances.
Perform flat and horizontal welding.
Perform basic layouts and final inspections of welds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
