About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring production tanks are washed and sanitized. The role involves collecting and delivering tanks, dumping, washing, sanitizing, and prepping them for production use. The Tank Washer also ensures that all production equipment delivered to the tank wash area is properly washed and sanitized. The position requires participation as a member of a team, contributing to ongoing development and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. Team members are expected to foster cohesiveness, identify and resolve issues, and support the larger organization's objectives. Familiarity with Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) is expected, along with understanding the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The role may involve performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives. The job requires the ability to work efficiently in a plant environment, with regular standing, reaching, and moving about the facility. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as water-resistant/slip-resistant footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, and hair nets will be used.

Responsibilities

• Collects and delivers tanks with an electronic or hand operated pallet jack while adhering to established safety procedures.
• Dumps, washes, sanitizes and preps tanks and totes for use by production.
• Ensures all production equipment that is delivered to the tank wash area is washed and sanitized.
• Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting team objectives.
• Maintains familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems and understands the role in supporting these systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
