About The Position

The Tank Washer cleans and maintains tank trailers to meet safety, health, and operational standards, ensuring trailers are sanitized and ready for use in compliance with industry regulations. Work is performed in a tank wash facility and may involve exposure to water, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Shift work, including weekends or evenings, may be required based on operational needs. The role involves physically demanding tasks and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). The listed duties describe the general nature of the work and are not exhaustive; personnel may be asked to perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of safety procedures, especially when working with chemicals.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and across narrow bridges or catwalks.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to wear required PPE.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a similar cleaning or maintenance role is preferred.
• Familiarity with tank trailers and cleaning equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the interior and exterior surfaces of tank trailers.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washers and steam units.
• Inspect trailers for residue, damage, or wear and report findings to the supervisor.
• Document cleaning processes and maintain detailed compliance records.
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating cleaning machinery.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
• Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and timely service.
