About The Position

The Tank Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing components and systems within vessels such as tanks, boilers, and pressure vessels. This role requires expertise in vessel fitting, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and strong problem-solving skills. Adherence to safety and quality standards is essential.

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of prior tank welding/fitting experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and fits to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural, plate and mechanical materials into all types of assemblies.
• Inspect and measure fabricated components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Fit and fabricate vessels and shell plates to construct water towers and storage tanks.
• Perform or assist with fit‐up and preparation of welds.
• Perform or assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair.
• Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
