About The Position

As a tank farm engineer at the Greenville site you will support a 24/7 operation by ensuring the site tank farm is maintained in a safe and reliable state. You will also propose improvements with the tank systems. You will be the lead for optimizing materials throughout the tank farm. You will interact regularly with our supply chain, operations, and maintenance teams. In addition, you will assist other production areas with small projects.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, bringing a solid foundation in technical principles and applied problem-solving.
  • Have knowledge basic chemical plant operation, enabling you to support site infrastructure with confidence and precision.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office suite, ensuring you can manage daily work, communication, and reporting with ease.
  • Excel at mentoring and communicating across all levels of an organization, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team development.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments, where you can effectively manage non-routine and emergency situations such as schedule disruptions, plant shutdowns, startups, and commissioning activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience working in a PSM (Process Safety Management) environment, giving you an edge in navigating safety-critical operations.
  • Familiar with SAP and the Management of Change process
  • Possess previous Co-op or intern experience in a chemical plant, or have 0-3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operational safety and reliability through your expertise in chemical engineering.
  • Driving efficiency in operations and inventory by leveraging your ability to interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation—ensuring documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Supporting project execution across the site through optimization and small capital projects.
  • Advancing automation initiatives by improving automation to reduce process variability and enhance trend analysis across site operations.
  • Fostering collaboration through your strong networking and coordination skills, working closely with supply chain, process, maintenance, and production teams to align on technical and operational goals.
  • Utilizing digital tools effectively by utilizing SAP and using Microsoft Office and other platforms for communication, reporting, and optimization.
