Safely operates a variety of trucks, not limited to dump trucks, volumetric mixers, flatbed trucks and articulating haul trucks. Will be responsible for preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk around of the assigned equipment to assure safe operation. This role requires the ability to work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. The employee will climb and maintain balance on stairs and ladders, lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis, and frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects. Reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending are also part of the physical requirements. The ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.) and move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas is required. This is a Safety-Sensitive position, meaning it includes tasks that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others, such as operating a vehicle or equipment.
