The Talent Sourcer will play a key role in shaping how AES attracts, engages, and retains top talent across its U.S. Utilities businesses. Requirements

  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition and sourcing.
  • Adept at developing and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships to meet hiring objectives.
  • Demonstrated use of talent analytics and dashboards to inform recruiting and sourcing strategies.
  • Strong technical recruiting skills, including advanced direct sourcing via LinkedIn and similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and budgets to meet current and future workforce needs.
  • Own proactive talent discovery (talent intelligence at the market level) and talent pipeline development in collaboration with the global shared service recruiting team.
  • Provide market intelligence to support agile and informed hiring decisions.
  • Conduct initial screening of candidates to assess qualifications and fit for position pipelines.
  • Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines through external partnerships and networks.
  • Manage candidate relationships to keep them engaged and interested in future opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and hiring managers, to understand business requirements and identify targeted partnerships for sourcing talent.
  • Leverage tools and platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiting, Handshake, Workday Recruiting, and others.
  • Establish partnerships and strategic alliances to expand employer brand awareness and broaden the talent pool (e.g., university partnerships, industry associations, community partners, affinity groups).
  • Lead university fair coordination and participate in on-campus activities.
  • Collaborate with workforce planning and HRBPs to anticipate hiring needs and develop proactive strategies.
  • Implement localized sourcing strategies to strengthen regional pipelines.
  • Create and support training initiatives to enhance hiring manager effectiveness.
  • Oversee college recruiting programs, including recent graduates, internships, and entry-level rotational programs.
  • Demonstrate strong technical recruiting skills, including advanced direct sourcing via LinkedIn and similar platforms.
