Talent & Operations Manager

Rearc•Princeton, NJ

About The Position

Rearc is seeking a highly organized, people-first Talent and Operations Manager to oversee how engineers join the company and transition onto client work. The role combines people operations and delivery, working with Databricks, AWS, enterprise financial services clients, and Rearc engineering teams to coordinate partner and client onboarding and help engineers remain informed and productive. The manager will also connect the Talent team with the wider business by running Rearc's employee onboarding, check-ins, and engagement programs, and by keeping leadership calendars and follow-ups on track. Partner onboarding takes priority during busy periods; during quieter periods, the role focuses more on people operations. As Rearc scales toward 300 to 400 people, this position will help shape the growth of the function. The role reports to Lindy Lewis, Head of Talent. The first few weeks include an immersive learning environment, and the first few months provide opportunities to experiment with different tools.

Requirements

  • Several years of people operations experience at a growing company, ideally in technology or consulting.
  • Experience building onboarding and check-in programs, not only administering existing programs.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding or compliance processes across multiple organizations.
  • Strong follow-through while managing 10 or more parallel requests.
  • A working grasp of technical roles and terminology; engineering experience is not required.
  • Professional, polished communication with large enterprise clients and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Eligibility for strict financial services compliance checks, including restrictions on personal brokerage accounts and trading.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in using AI tools to manage scheduling and workflows; training on Rearc's tools will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineers' onboarding with Databricks and AWS, including background checks, screenings, interviews, laptop provisioning, and account setup.
  • Send engineer bios to partners, schedule client interviews, and follow up until a clear decision is received.
  • Manage client onboarding workflows, including multi-week background-check and financial-disclosure processes for financial services clients.
  • Confirm statements of work are signed, timesheet access is available, and engineers know their start and end dates, allocation, and contacts.
  • Serve as the main contact for engagement and resource managers at partners and clients, primarily by email and, for one major client, Microsoft Teams.
  • Identify when partners or clients become unresponsive and flag potential sales or delivery risks early.
  • Run Rearc employee onboarding for new hires across the US, India, Australia, and other regions through their first 90 days.
  • Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins and regular follow-up check-ins, translating feedback into actions with managers and leadership.
  • Keep new engineers informed about onboarding progress, including when there are delays.
  • Support performance reviews, annual review cycles, and performance improvement plans with people leaders.
  • Support the monthly Rearc Spark all-hands, quarterly town halls, annual virtual Rearc Summit, and customer events such as client dinners, with occasional travel to New York.
  • Help manage a co-founder's calendar, including meetings with customer executives.
