The Talent Management Specialist serves as a key partner within the Human Resources team, advancing HDC’s mission and core values by strengthening the systems that attract, develop, and retain a high-performing, engaged workforce. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Human Resources and the Employee Relations Coordinator, this role leads talent-focused initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, organizational learning, and employee engagement. The Talent Management Specialist applies data-informed, equitable practices to support workforce planning, employee development, and retention aligned with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies informed by labor market data, equity-centered hiring practices, and organizational needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to align on job descriptions, selection tools, interview guides, and set expectations for hiring timelines.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, sourcing, applicant screening, interview coordination, and candidate assessments.
  • Accountable for contributing to established Human Resources key performance indicators related to time to fill open positions through efficient recruitment practices.
  • Lead and continuously improve New Hire Orientation, ensuring a welcoming, mission-aligned introduction to HDC.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to gain a solid understanding of property management and the roles within that department.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
