AmbrookNew York, NY
$115,000 - $280,000Remote

About The Position

Ambrook is rebuilding the financial infrastructure that real economy operators rely on. We are a Series B startup backed by prominent investors and are looking for team members to help us untangle the intersection of American industry, climate, and the economy. This role is unique in that it views the company as the product and recruiting as its growth funnel. You will map the tech ecosystem to find the best technologists in the world to join Ambrook, and build the systems that automate sourcing, follow-ups, tracking, and reporting. The goal is to free up time for more human interactions, such as conversations and assessing candidate fit, making recruiting more personal. This position offers a high-leverage opportunity for those interested in starting a company in the future, providing exposure to engineering a growth funnel and a product to attract talent. You will collaborate with the founding recruiter to build automations, agents, and systems that streamline the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering skills with a focus on applying them to build systems for attracting great people.
  • Systems thinking approach, preferring to build self-sustaining systems over manual, one-off tasks.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building functions that are still taking shape.
  • Natural community builder and host with a passion for connecting people.
  • Excited about the opportunity to build while the function is still taking shape.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and tools like Juicebox, Metaview, Pin, or Gem.
  • Sourcing experience in fintech, GTM, or early-stage startups.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated systems for sourcing, outreach, and follow-ups that improve over time.
  • Develop tooling and enrichment pipelines to identify and engage engineers in various communities (e.g., X, open-source projects, builder communities, competitive programming circles).
  • Create automated enrichment and preparation processes to ensure human interactions are informed and efficient.
  • Develop reporting systems to monitor the hiring pipeline and proactively identify issues.
  • Track lagging indicators, such as candidate referrals, to measure the long-term health of the hiring process.
  • Build a network cultivation system to identify and engage potential candidates through second-degree connections.
  • Assist in running hackathons, events, and community gatherings to attract talent.
