About The Position

The Talent & Engagement Coordinator supports the employee experience across two key areas: employee engagement and recruiting coordination. This role helps bring our remote-first culture to life by owning recurring engagement programs, coordinating employee recognition and events, supporting culture-focused communications, and helping create meaningful connection across the organization. The Talent & Engagement Coordinator also supports the recruiting process by coordinating requisition intake, interview scheduling, candidate communication, phone screens, applicant tracking, and the transition of hired candidates into onboarding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating virtual employee engagement, culture, or employee experience initiatives in a remote work environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-focused or employee-focused role requiring frequent verbal and written feedback, communication, and follow-up
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and recurring responsibilities.
  • Personable, outgoing, and comfortable building relationships and communicating with employees and candidates across all levels.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, written communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms; experience with Microsoft 365, Slack, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Experience creating presentations, graphics, or internal communications using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably Breezy HR.
  • Must reside in the Greater Houston area and be available to support occasional in-person initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate virtual employee engagement, culture, recognition, and employee experience initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead the company Culture Committee, including member guidelines, member selection, meetings, and execution of committee initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the employee engagement calendar and coordinate related internal communications, recognition posts, and culture content.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of virtual and Houston-based employee events
  • Manage culture and recognition programs that celebrate employee contributions, reinforce company values, and strengthen connection across the organization.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop customer stories and other content that highlights the impact of the company’s work.
  • Create internal communications, presentations, graphics, and event materials using Canva, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
  • Research employee engagement ideas, vendors, trends, and opportunities to support culture and employee experience initiatives.
  • Coordinate the recruiting process from approved requisition through candidate handoff, including role intake, requisition setup, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Conduct initial candidate phone screens, maintain accurate candidate records, and manage candidate movement through the applicant tracking and onboarding process.
  • Support HR and hiring managers with recruiting administration, reporting, process improvements, and efforts to deliver a consistent and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate employee videos, testimonials, and other content that highlight employee experiences and support employer branding and marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with internal subject-matter experts to develop educational content, interviews, and resources that showcase the company’s expertise and services.
