We’re actively seeking a talented Talent Development Program Manager to join our Talent Management team in Omaha, NE. As a Talent Development Program Manager, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by managing training vendor relationships for specific functional areas (e.g., Technology) and curating learning in support of other Talent Management activities. This role is critical to improving performance within our organization by enabling employees to deepen their capabilities and skills, particularly in key functional areas. You will fill a new role that sits on the People Experience (PX) team within Talent Management, reporting directly to the Director of Talent Development. You will work as an individual contributor, and your colleagues will include other Talent Management professionals across Talent Development, Talent Programs, Employee Experience, Organizational Development and Change Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Technology, Education, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in learning and development, organization development, or talent management
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing external training vendors
  • Familiarity with learning systems and platforms
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and align programs with business needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
  • Ability to manage talent programs from concept to close
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for programs across the Enterprise (e.g. PL Technology, GenAI Academy, etc.) to deliver targeted and effective training solutions in support of organizational priorities
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for various instructional design needs
  • Collaborate with business leaders, Talent Development colleagues, and HRBPs to define learning goals and understand training needs to inform vendor sourcing and overall training program management
  • In conjunction with Talent Management leadership and the People Experience PMO, ensure that the program of work is rooted in strategy and Pacific Life’s Values and Behaviors
  • Work with the Talent Development team to ensure that the program calendar is appropriate to maximize learning engagement
  • Coordinate with Procurement through contracting processes
  • Monitor SLAs with the vendor, adjusting as needed to meet functional training requirements of Pacific Life
  • Deliver feedback to vendors on required training enhancements and manage updates accordingly
  • Partner with Organizational Development and Change Management Consultants to curate content in support of changes resulting from their work with the business
  • Provide program management support for Talent Development programs
