Requirements

  • Education & Experience
  • 1-3 years in recruiting, HR, or administrative role; high-volume recruiting experience preferred.
  • Required Skills & Abilities
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and ATS systems
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; professional interaction with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Customer Focus: Candidate-first approach with a commitment to a positive candidate experience.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and effective in team settings.

Responsibilities

  • New Hire Coordination
  • Onboarding Essentials
  • Drive a seamless onboarding process by ensuring all documentation and training requirements are completed and verified for on and off site hires.
  • Ensure all pre-employment requirements are met and completed.
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding materials (welcome packets, company policies, and benefits information).
  • Collect and verify necessary documentation (I-9, tax forms, etc.)
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and training schedules.
  • Ensure the new hire has a positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance is met with company policies and legal requirements are taking place during onboarding.
  • Train on-site administrators & field personnel on onboarding best practices and provide necessary resources.
  • Update resources as practices change .
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT and Operations regarding onboarding.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times.
  • New Hire Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during onboarding.
  • Schedule pre-employment checks (drug screening, background checks, MVR, etc).
  • Coordinate position-specific tasks such as nameplates, credit cards, vehicle reservations, offices, and ID setup, etc.
  • Communicate with hiring managers regarding onboarding needs, delays, and changes.
  • Dispatch Requests
  • Receive and process dispatch requests
  • Build and maintain relationships with unions and apprenticeship programs.
  • Recruiting Admin Support
  • Job Posting & Maintenance
  • Manage job postings across multiple platforms, including posting, removing, and tracking job listings.
  • Partner with recruiters to create pre-screen questions.
  • Referral Tracking & Sourcing
  • Source candidates via internal and external databases and conduct market research to expand candidate pools.
  • Entry-level Pipeline Development
  • Conduct interviews and assessments for open and entry-level roles.
  • Maintain touchpoints with entry-level talent pipelines, including apprentices, ETs, and prefab techs.
  • Attend WECA (Western Electrical Contractors Association) interviews (CA position).
