The Talent and Organizational Development Manager is responsible for building, managing, communicating, and executing a talent development strategy. This person will conduct a thorough needs assessment to design, develop, and implement a variety of training programs and processes, ensuring alignment with NICB’s culture and strategic plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Talent Management, Training, Leadership Development, and/or Organizational Development required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on designing, developing, and facilitating training programs required.
  • Strong training facilitation and presentation skills
  • Resourceful and willing to research new and/or enhance existing initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface successfully with all levels of employees, and external partners
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Effective planning and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership Development Certifications (e.g. DDI, Certified Situational Leadership® Trainer) and Assessment Certifications (e.g. MBTI, DiSC, StrengthsFinder) a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, LinkedIn Learning, and Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Experience with building and maintaining SharePoint sites preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a talent development strategy and framework to align with NICB’s culture, strategic plan, and business needs.
  • Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to highlight areas for growth and desired capability-building, as well as skill gaps.
  • Utilize results to develop and implement talent management initiatives to include onboarding programs, employee training, career development, supervisory/management training, and leadership development.
  • Design and develop (internally or combined with external partners) thoughtful, targeted, and effective training and development programs that meet the identified organizational needs and future growth.
  • Deliver engaging training programs using a variety of platforms to meet diverse learning needs in a largely remote and dispersed workforce.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations to assess program effectiveness and recommend modifications for future programming.
  • Support training needs of the performance management cycles (goal setting, midyear reviews, year-end reviews), including enhancing instructional materials and building out development plans.
  • Develop and partner with department leads to develop organizational onboarding program.
  • Partner with the VP, HR to develop and execute succession planning to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify high-potential talent and create development plans to prepare them for key leadership roles.
  • Advise and coach leaders on talent development best practices, offering insights and guidance.
