About The Position

The Department of Executive Services is searching for an energetic and resourceful Talent Advisor who is customer service focused and collaborative to join our team. Requirements

  • Ability and experience to manage multiple full-cycle recruitments including in-depth screening analysis of applicant materials.
  • Ability to develop effective job postings and implement screening and examination techniques to broaden applicant pools; prepare candidates for interviews – reviewing culture, organization structure, job description, competencies, and expectations.
  • Effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and is comfortable challenging leaders to adhere to recruiting best practices.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, analytical, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine collaborative and consultative style in their approach to their work, understand the importance of building effective relationships with hiring managers, team members, and candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and are very politically savvy; comfortable providing advice and consultation to supervisors/managers and leading value-added discussions that challenge conventional norms and thinking.
  • Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to utilize SharePoint and other tools to automate processes and track work items.
  • Proficient in using office productivity suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, teams) in daily work, use online tools as well as the ability to use application tracking and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks requiring a high degree of accuracy in a high pressure/short deadline/precise schedule environment.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality with sensitive and personal information and use tact and diplomacy in all situations.
  • Able to be self-directed and effectively plan, organize, prioritize work on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitments including engaging with and sourcing applicants through social media and other passive recruitment strategies, developing effective job announcements, screening applicants, proctoring employment examinations, scheduling, preparing interview materials, and managing interviews.
  • Provide consistent and outstanding communication with internal and external applicants over the phone, email and in person.
  • Administer applicant tracking, references, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Lead onboarding activities.
  • Correspond with candidates, complete hire letters and other hiring documents, deliver information to candidates, hiring managers, and other units/departments, and perform weekly first day onboarding activities in person.
  • Gather and report on crucial recruitment metrics (including client satisfaction and candidate experience) and devise strategies to make improvements where needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and delivering informational assistance to applicants, employees, and other customers, and coordinating with other units/departments to obtain information and/or to share information.
  • Utilize software applications (e.g. PeopleSoft, NeoGov, Laserfiche, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) to create and maintain accurate personnel records., generate reports, create presentations, and prepare written materials.
  • Develop and maintain standard work and facilitate process improvement.
  • Manage records by ensuring timely creation, maintenance, and archiving documents/files to support historical accuracy; compiling information, documents, and records for public records act requests; and following records retention and destruction procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
