Talent Acquisition Specialist

BeLeaf MedicalSt. Charles, MO
$55,000 - $65,000Onsite

About The Position

BeLeaf Medical is building the recruitment function a company that continues to set the high bar of what it means to lead in one of the country’s top cannabis markets. As BeLeaf's first-ever dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll own full-cycle recruiting, launch three all-new sourcing channels, and bring real measurement to how the company finds and hires people. This is a corporate-office role based at BeLeaf Medical's headquarters in St. Charles, MO, working directly with the Director of Human Resources to build the recruiting function from the ground up across every brand and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field — equivalent directly applicable experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency, including demonstrated high-volume hourly hiring.
  • Demonstrated sourcing capability — building pipelines through outreach, not just working an inbound queue.
  • Hands-on applicant tracking system experience, including configuration and reporting, not just day-to-day transaction use.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups, including weekly delivery of new hire orientation.
  • Organizational discipline and follow-through to hold service level commitments across a multi-gate hiring process.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain any Missouri cannabis agent identification card or registration required for this role.
  • Must satisfy the background screening requirements applicable to the position, and hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation for regional travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building a recruitment function or channel program from the ground up is a strong plus.
  • Experience with structured interviewing, scorecards, or competency-based selection preferred.
  • Experience in cannabis, retail, hospitality, food and beverage, manufacturing, or another regulated or high-turnover industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own recruitment for every role across retail, cultivation, manufacturing, and corporate, from first contact through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers on role definition, candidate calibration, and realistic expectation setting.
  • Build and maintain active pipelines for the company's highest-volume and highest-turnover roles ahead of need, and support executive searches with panel coordination and interview guides.
  • Own the application and resume screen against a structured minimum-qualification checklist.
  • Coordinate panel interview scheduling across a rotating cross-functional interview panel.
  • Prepare and extend offers within approved bands, and manage stage-appropriate candidate communication.
  • Administer the applicant tracking system end to end: configuration, scorecards, interview guides, and reporting.
  • Deliver the weekly new hire orientation session at the corporate office, for every role and every brand.
  • Own onboarding administration — offer letters, background screening, I-9 compliance, and new hire documentation.
  • Administer Missouri agent identification applications and renewals, and ensure first-day readiness alongside hiring managers.
  • Launch and operate a leadership ambassador referral channel, from card distribution through candidate screening and attribution tracking.
  • Build partnerships with Missouri cannabis, horticulture, and workforce programs — campus presence, guest instruction, facility tours, and practicum placement.
  • Extend outreach to workforce boards, veteran employment services, and trade and interest-based associations across the region.
  • Administer the employee referral program, including eligibility verification and payout coordination.
  • Configure and enforce source tagging in the applicant tracking system before any channel goes live.
  • Report the full recruitment metric set monthly — source of hire, cost per hire, time to fill, and offer acceptance — and contribute to retention review at 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance — 100% of the employee premium paid by BeLeaf Medical.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 50% company match on the first 4% you contribute.
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Employee discount at Swade Dispensaries.
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year.
