About The Position

Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the full-cycle recruitment process for clinical and administrative positions. This role involves attracting top talent, building relationships with educational institutions, developing talent pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate and onboarding experience. The specialist will act as a brand ambassador for BCOTB, working closely with the Director of Human Resources and hiring managers to implement innovative sourcing strategies and support the organization's hiring goals. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Brandon, FL, with occasional local travel. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-driven, proactive, and passionate about talent acquisition and promoting BCOTB's culture.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, human resources, sales, customer service, or relationship management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, relationship-focused approach with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
  • Experience recruiting within healthcare, behavioral health, education, or human services.
  • Experience developing university partnerships or community recruiting initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and recruiting software such as Paycor, Indeed, Handshake, or similar systems.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, Talent Acquisition certification, or a desire to pursue HR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting through offer acceptance for clinical and administrative positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring timelines.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, networking, employee referrals, social media, colleges and universities, and professional organizations.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate interviews, and recommend qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers while guiding candidates through the pre-employment process.
  • Deliver a positive, engaging, and professional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, technical schools, and professional organizations to establish a sustainable pipeline of future talent.
  • Coordinate and represent BCOTB at career fairs, networking events, university information sessions, and community outreach events.
  • Build internship, practicum, fieldwork, and volunteer partnerships that support long-term recruiting initiatives.
  • Create and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Promote BCOTB's employer brand through recruitment marketing, social media, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate all onboarding activities to ensure new hires are prepared for a successful first day.
  • Prepare, collect, and process all onboarding documentation while ensuring timely completion within HR systems.
  • Partner with department leaders to create a welcoming, organized, and engaging onboarding experience.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and provide support to new employees throughout their transition into the organization.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking records, recruiting metrics, and candidate communications.
  • Analyze recruitment data and recommend process improvements to increase hiring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and hiring best practices.
  • Assist with employment verifications, reporting, and recruitment-related administrative functions.
  • Support additional Human Resources initiatives, employee engagement activities, and special projects as assigned.
