Michael & Son is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team. Additionally, the role requires ensuring recruiting practices align with employment laws and staying updated on industry hiring trends.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS software, and Microsoft Office.
Solid understanding of recruitment techniques and processes.
Willingness to travel up to 15% within the region.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and engage qualified candidates through a variety of search methods to build a strong talent pipeline.
Conduct screening calls, coordinate interview schedules, and lead candidate assessments.
Partner with internal managers to understand hiring needs and collaborate with local teams.
Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment functions (up to 15% local travel across the DC Metro area, Baltimore, and Southern Virginia).
Extend job offers, negotiate terms, and partner with the HR team to deliver a smooth new-hire experience.
Ensure all recruiting practices align with employment laws while staying up to date on industry hiring trends.
