About The Position

The TikTok Research & Development (RD) team is the engine behind the core product and platform, powering the experiences that connect billions of users worldwide. We are responsible for developing the breakthrough technologies and large-scale systems that define the future of content creation and discovery. Our scope spans core recommendation algorithms, machine learning, computer vision, data infrastructure, and the innovative creation tools that empower our global community. As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a key role in scaling this foundational organization by hiring world-class Engineering, Research, and Scientist talent. This role demands strategic partnership, operational excellence, and a data-driven mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. To enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 5 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience, ideally within a high-growth tech company or a recruiting agency supporting technical clients.
  • Comfortable managing a dynamic requisition load (10-15+).
  • Proven ability to partner with hiring managers and technical leaders in a consultative, data-driven capacity.
  • High oral proficiency in Mandarin required, along with medium written proficiency: The role involves frequent communication with global teams, clients, and stakeholders in Chinese-speaking markets. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking partners and understand cultural nuances, ensuring comprehensive cross-cultural collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience successfully supporting and filling highly technical roles such as Software Engineering (e.g., Backend, Systems, Machine Learning, Mobile), Research, or Data Science.
  • Experience supporting global or cross-regional recruiting efforts, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Excel) to generate reports and insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Passion for innovation and curiosity about how technology, data, and creativity intersect to drive impact at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead and manage end-to-end hiring for 10-15+ roles, primarily across Engineering, AI, ML, and Data Science.
  • Strategic Partnering: Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to define hiring needs, advise on market insights, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Data-Driven Sourcing: Use data and insights to design sourcing strategies that attract, engage, and convert top-tier technical and product talent globally.
  • Market Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on talent market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor insights to help inform hiring decisions and workforce planning.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain a high bar for candidate experience, process efficiency, and compliance across all recruiting activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with HRBPs, Compensation, and Global TA peers to ensure consistent hiring practices and alignment across regions.
