About The Position

This role partners with operational leaders to anticipate workforce needs, develop proactive sourcing strategies, and support hiring initiatives across high-volume and specialized roles. The Talent Acquisition Partner leverages recruitment data and market insights to drive timely, effective hiring outcomes across assigned properties.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience as a Talent Acquisition role, HR Generalist or in a related Human Resources role.
  • Prior experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (Dayforce preferred).
  • Familiarity with current hiring practices, sourcing techniques, and recruitment tools.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Tribal employment laws, including Indian Preference regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled at identifying and resolving administrative issues, including under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and HRIS platforms.
  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Obtain and maintain Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full cycle recruiting for assigned exempt and nonexempt positions, including advising on job descriptions, posting to internal and external platforms, sourcing candidates, and managing the applicant pipeline.
  • Conduct timely application reviews and phone screening interviews to assess candidate qualifications against defined job requirements.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through community outreach, networking, job fairs, and creative sourcing strategies to reduce time-to-fill and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Coordinate and participate in interviews with department partners, supporting structured and consistent selection processes.
  • Maintain prompt, professional communication with all candidates throughout the hiring process to deliver positive candidate experience.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, applicant flow, and source effectiveness, and provide data-informed recommendations to hiring leaders and HR leadership.
  • Apply and document the Kalispel Tribe's Indian Preference Policy consistently at every stage of the hiring process.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking records and employee documentation in the HRIS system, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
  • Educate hiring managers on Indian Preference requirements and ensure consistent, documented application of the policy throughout the selection process.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for hiring managers, applicants, and new hires, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide hiring managers with guidance on recruitment processes, system usage, and best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver offer and pre-employment hiring packets to successful candidates prior to their scheduled orientation.
  • Coach hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and structured selection methods to promote equitable and consistent hiring decisions.
  • Schedule and coordinate new hire onboarding, partnering with department leaders to support a smooth and welcoming first-day experience.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of onboarding materials and programs across assigned departments.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to evaluate onboarding effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve new hire engagement and early retention.
  • Partner with operational leaders to support workforce planning initiatives aligned with seasonal fluctuations and business demand.
  • Support enterprise-wide hiring initiatives, including large-scale recruitment events and opening or expansion efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and candidate experience.
  • Partner with department leaders to forecast workforce needs, identify hiring trends, and develop proactive recruitment strategies to support high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Maintain human resource information system (HRIS) records and generate reports from the database as required.
  • Answer day-to-day candidate and employee inquiries related to the hiring and onboarding process, and assist with general compensation procedure questions.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all applicant, candidate, and employee information at all times.
  • Provide support to broader HR initiatives as needed, including policy communication, documentation review, and administrative coordination.
  • Assist with employment verifications, personnel file maintenance, and audit preparation as assigned.
  • Support departmental transitions such as promotions, transfers, and internal movement processes in coordination with HR leadership.
  • Partner with HR team members to ensure alignment between recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with Tribal Code, gaming regulations, and organizational policies.
