About The Position

Every employee's journey with the City of Raleigh generates important information that must be accurate, timely, and complete. The Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist plays an important role in making sure employee job, pay, and personnel information moves accurately from the City's recruitment and personnel systems into the City's official Human Resources Information System. In this role, you will review and process Personnel Action (PA) transactions generated through NEOGOV, verify information against established policies and procedures, identify discrepancies, research questions, and work with HR partners and City departments to resolve issues. You will then process accurate transactions in PeopleSoft and help ensure that employee information is correct and available to the teams and systems that depend on it.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 2 Years of College in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in human resources support, or a related field OR Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted

  • Experience in human resources, HR operations, payroll, compensation, HRIS, personnel records, benefits, recruiting operations, or another field where accuracy and transaction processing are important.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PeopleSoft, NEOGOV, or another HRIS/ATS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review Personnel Action transactions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established processes.
  • Verify employee, position, job, pay, and effective-date information before completing transactions.
  • Process personnel transactions from NEOGOV into PeopleSoft, including transactions related to new hires, promotions, transfers, salary changes, separations, and other employee or position changes.
  • Identify information that is missing, inconsistent, or does not appear to follow established requirements.
  • Research discrepancies and determine the appropriate next steps.
  • Monitor and prioritize transactions to meet established processing timelines and payroll-related deadlines.
  • Use HR systems and related tools to research employee and position information and resolve transaction issues.
  • Work collaboratively with HRIS, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, HR Business Partners, and City departments.
  • Communicate with HR staff, department representatives, and other partners to clarify and resolve transaction issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable HR policies, procedures, and transaction requirements.
  • Create job postings in NeoGov system and perform other related duties as assigned.
