About The Position

MPS Group, Inc ., is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team at our Headquarters located in Farmington Hills, Mi. This role is responsible for developing and executing effective hiring strategies, managing the full-cycle recruitment process, leading the recruiting team, and partnering closely with hiring managers to secure top-tier talent in a timely manner . The Talent Acquisition Manager will also own the onboarding function, oversee two HR Coordinators, and lead key early career programs including internships. This is a hands-on leadership role, with the Talent Acquisition Manager directly managing and filling requisitions in addition to leading the recruiting and onboarding functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role within talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully balancing hands-on recruiting responsibilities with team leadership and strategic oversight.
  • Experience with Paycor Recruiting or similar ATS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience coaching and developing recruiting teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with professional networks for sourcing talent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent and support both immediate hiring needs and long-term organizational goals.
  • Actively manage and execute full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, serving as a hands-on recruiter while also leading the overall talent acquisition function.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the recruiting function, providing coaching and direction to drive performance, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage and support the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing and screening through interviewing, selection and onboarding.
  • Provide direct oversight of one Recruiter and two HR Coordinators, ensuring alignment, productivity, continuous development, and clear role ownership across recruiting and onboarding functions.
  • Ensure recruitment targets are met while delivering seamless, timely , and high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Own and manage the company-wide onboarding process to ensure compliance, consistency, and an engaging new-hire experience.
  • Provide direct leadership, guidance, and day-to-day oversight to two HR Coordinators responsible for onboarding administration, HRIS data entry, compliance documentation, and employee communications.
  • Establish clear expectations, workflows, service-level standards, and accountability for onboarding-related activities, including pre-boarding, background checks, I-9/E-Verify completion, HRIS accuracy, and file management.
  • Partner closely with HR Coordinators to ensure all onboarding documentation, checklists, and processes remain up to date, audit-ready, and compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Coach and develop HR Coordinators by providing ongoing feedback, training, and support to strengthen attention to detail, responsiveness, and customer service to employees and managers.
  • Monitor onboarding volume, timelines, and quality to ensure new hires and hiring managers receive timely communication and high-touch experience.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex onboarding issues, compliance concerns, or employee experience challenges, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding workflows, tools, and systems (including HRIS and ATS integrations) to drive efficiency, accuracy, and positive employee experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (HR, Payroll, IT, Hiring Managers) to ensure seamless coordination of all onboarding requirements.
  • Set expectations that employee and manager inquiries related to onboarding are handled promptly, professionally, and within established response-time standards.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and team dynamics.
  • Develop tailored recruitment strategies to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Conduct candidate evaluations, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Provide timely , constructive feedback to hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Draft compelling job postings and manage distribution across job boards and social platforms.
  • Ensure consistent employer brand representation and recommend enhancements to improve the careers website and overall employer brand visibility.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
  • Lead or support key initiatives such as internship programs, talent pipelines, career pathways, and recruitment-related events.
  • Ensure alignment with broader organizational talent strategies.
  • Directly manage and run the company’s internship program, ensuring quality, structure, and alignment with early-career talent objectives .
  • Manage and optimize the Paycor Recruiting system to streamline processes and enhance candidate experience.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, career expos, campus events, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all recruitment and onboarding activities in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
