About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Manager serves as a strategic business partner to regional leadership and Human Resources, responsible for designing and executing the overall recruiting plan for a defined region. This role develops targeted sourcing strategies to deliver the right quality and quantity of candidates for all hourly and management positions in a cafe-based retail environment. The Talent Acquisition Manager collaborates closely with operational leaders to understand staffing needs at the cafe and market level, and then builds and adjusts regional plans to meet evolving business demands.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of recruiting experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
  • Proven experience developing and executing sourcing and recruitment strategies for hourly and management positions.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and maintain collaborative relationships with internal clients, candidates, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation, follow-through, and the ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills applied to recruitment and sourcing challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and applicable employment, labor, wage laws, and EEO regulations preferred.
  • Workforce planning experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday ATS is a plus.
  • Experience with Phenom People or similar CRM/recruiting technology is a plus.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance on recruiting processes, systems, and best practices to hiring managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfort participating in cross-functional projects and supporting the implementation of new recruiting programs and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional leadership and Human Resources to evaluate regional, market, and cafe-level staffing needs, prioritize hiring initiatives, and develop actionable recruiting plans.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for hourly and management roles, adapting in real time to shifting business needs, labor markets, and competitive challenges.
  • Monitor cafe staffing levels and trends, providing consistent feedback, direction, and recommendations to Area Operating Partners and cafe managers to proactively address hiring needs.
  • Identify and diagnose high-need or “hot spot” cafes and recommend targeted recruiting solutions that deliver high-quality hiring results.
  • Ensure a strong and continuous pipeline of qualified candidates by overseeing sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes, and by maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Partner with the broader Talent Acquisition team and Hourly Sourcing team to refine processes and create sourcing strategies that ensure adequate candidate flow across the region.
  • Execute and champion process and program enhancements, supporting assigned special projects from initiation through completion.
  • Actively participate in the rollout of new recruiting programs, tools, and processes to relevant stakeholders and audiences within the region.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to hiring managers and internal partners on recruiting processes, systems, and best practices, emphasizing speed to engage and speed to hire.
  • Drive improvements in candidate and hiring manager experience to support stronger associate retention outcomes.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by managing recruiting-related expenses within established budget parameters.
  • Regularly participate in leadership calls and meetings to review staffing needs, hiring plans, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment and clear communication with internal clients.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the retail cafe business to ensure Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and strategies effectively support and drive business outcomes.
  • Support the leadership of the regional Sourcing Specialist by providing direction, ongoing feedback, and development to help achieve Talent Acquisition goals for the retail team.
