About The Position

This position is an integral role supporting the recruiting function and contributes to the overall success of the team by providing a high-level candidate and stakeholder experience, administrative support, and delivering operational excellence to the organization. This role will be a key member of the Talent Acquisition department supporting staffing objectives through recruiting and evaluating candidates for various entry level positions and will have ownership over delivering a best-in-class candidate experience to candidates in the recruitment, offer, and pre/onboarding stages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years relevant experience or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Scheduling, Microsoft Teams/Zoom
  • Experience with HR/staffing support and/or recruiting practices
  • Great attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, concisely, and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or Certification in HR, Business Administration, or related field are preferred.
  • Understanding of Workday
  • Overall experience in human resources

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiters with scheduling complex interviews while providing an excellent candidate experience. Interviews may include phone, on-site and videoconferencing (MS Teams, and Zoom)
  • Lead recruitment efforts for staffing our customer care department and partner on RDC hourly hiring.
  • Conduct pre-screening calls to interview candidates for entry-level professional roles using targeted selection interview techniques to identify qualified candidates who can successfully align with La-Z-Boy's leadership model and values.
  • Partner with hiring managers and human resources business partners to develop a competitive offer of employment. Create and present selected candidate with offer package.
  • Act as the main point of contact throughout the on-boarding process for candidates ensuring that all set-up is complete prior to hire including but not limited to Workday system entry, IT (Information Technology) Access Set-up, and Security Badge requests.
  • Deliver best-in-class candidate experience to candidates in the recruitment, offer, and pre/onboarding stages.
  • Administer and actively monitor candidate background investigations including, tracking of, and reporting on progress, communicating with candidates, and communicating adverse correspondence, as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates to hiring managers, HR business partners, Talent Acquisition leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate on pipeline development and progress of candidates.
  • Partner with HRBP’s and Generalists to maintain and update the new hire orientation calendar for Corporate and RDC’s to ensure all stakeholders kept updated on new hire start dates.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as billing, metrics reporting, and coordinating travel arrangements for interviews.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
